Protest groups spilled into Woodruff Park on Saturday morning to take part in the one-year anniversary of the Atlanta March for Social Justice & Women that ended at the State Capitol. This march, also known as the 2018 women’s march, brought in key speakers to address the crowd of about 200 people. The crowd size was  small compared to the turnout of other women’s marches across the nation.

Notable speakers for the rally included the women’s march national leaders Linda Sarsour and Tamika Mallory, Congressman John Lewis, CEO & President Staci Fox of Planned Parenthood Southeast and Georgia Democratic gubernatorial candidate Stacey Y. Abrams who also serves as the House Minority Leader for the Georgia Assembly.
